HabitForge documentation
Official documentation for HabitForge, a habit tracker that draws your consistency as a rope: it thickens with what you keep and frays where you stopped.
Get started
Open HabitForge in any browser, sign in with Google, and create your first habit. Sign-in is Google only, and the Android app is on Google Play.
Habits
Habits
Create a habit, check in, and read what the rope says: streaks, rope strength, points and levels, and how to pause or delete a habit.
Create a habit
Create a habit with a name, category, kind and schedule, plus the optional cue, routine, reward, craving and investment fields from The Power of Habit.
Check-ins and streaks
A check-in tells HabitForge you did a habit today. Consecutive check-ins build a streak and earn points, and your longest streak is kept even when a run breaks.
Rope strength
HabitForge's habit-strength meter. The rope thickens from a thread towards a chain as you keep going, and frays where you stopped. Calculated, not predicted.
Levels and points
Points come from check-ins and achievements across all your habits, and enough of them raise your level through ten forge tiers, from Spark to Forge Master.
Manage habits
Edit a habit's details, pause it while you are away, or delete it for good. Pausing keeps your history; deleting removes the habit permanently.
Features
Features
What HabitForge does beyond the daily check-in: analytics, achievements, the community, themes, reminders, AI and Speak, and the page tours.
Analytics
HabitForge's analytics turn your check-in history into weekly charts, so you can see which habits are holding and where consistency is slipping.
Achievements
Achievements are milestones HabitForge unlocks as you build habits — streaks, points, and consistency goals — each with a celebration moment and bonus points.
Community
HabitForge's community adds a board, challenges, friends and a leaderboard, with report and block tools. A new profile is visible by default; you can change it.
Themes and customiser
HabitForge ships light and dark themes plus a customiser for appearance, accent colour, radius, scaling and font size. Your choices follow your account.
Reminders and notifications
An in-app bell tells you what happened while you were away, and your own device raises the reminders: one a day, and one per habit on the days it is due.
Page tours and How HabitForge works
Every main HabitForge page has a short tour behind the signpost button in the header, and the How HabitForge works page explains the whole app in six steps.
AI and Speak
HabitForge drafts a habit's loop, reads your week back, helps word a post, and turns what you say into suggested check-ins, habits and posts. Nothing is saved until you press Save.
Apps & offline
Apps & offline
Run HabitForge as a web app that installs to your home screen and works offline, or as the Android app on Google Play.
Install and offline
HabitForge is a PWA — install it to your home screen from any browser and keep checking in offline. Check-ins made without a connection sync when you reconnect.
The Android app
HabitForge on Android is a native app with over-the-air updates, so fixes reach you without a store release. Install it from Google Play.
