Themes and customiser
HabitForge lets you shape how the app looks across ten separate settings, from a light/dark switch to the shape of a corner. Open the customiser from the palette icon in the header — it is on every page, at every width, and it works whether or not you are signed in.
The ten settings
| Setting | What it changes |

| Appearance | Light, Dark, or follow your system. |
| Colour | Ember, Quench, or Indigo — the accent used by buttons, highlights, and the active navigation. |
| Corners | Square, Soft, Rounded, or Full. |
| Density | How much breathing room sits between things. |
| Text size | Scales the type without breaking the layout. |
| Typeface | The font the app is set in. |
| Panels | How cards and panels are treated. |
| Cursor | The pointer style on devices that have one. |
| Motion | Animation, including turning it off. Your system's "reduce motion" setting is respected on its own. |
| Sound | Short cues on a few actions, off by default. |
Selections use visual card previews rather than dropdowns, so you can see each option before you choose it. A Reset to defaults option restores the original look.
Where your choices are saved
- Signed out: preferences save on your device, so the app reopens the way you left it.
- Signed in: preferences also sync to your account, so the same look follows you to another device.
Your choice is applied before the first paint, so you never see a flash of the wrong theme while the page loads.
