Manage habits
Every habit has a menu for changing it after you create it: edit, pause, or delete. Open a habit's menu (the ⋮ button on its card) to choose one.
Edit
Change a habit's name, category, type, schedule, or any of the habit-loop fields. Edits apply going forward and do not rewrite your past check-ins.
Pause
Pausing takes a habit off your daily list without losing your history. Use it when a habit does not apply for a while — travel, illness, a season change. Its history and points stay intact, and you can resume it any time. A paused habit is not counted as missed while it is paused. Resuming does start the run again from zero, so a pause protects what you have already earned rather than the streak you were on.
Delete
Deleting removes the habit and its history permanently. This cannot be undone, so pause instead if you might return to the habit later.
Tips
- Pause, do not delete, for a break. You keep the history and the points; the current run restarts when you resume.
- Edit the schedule rather than starting over. Changing days keeps the habit's history and rope.
- Delete to declutter. If a habit no longer fits your life, removing it keeps your dashboard focused.
Where to next
- Create a habit — the fields you are editing.
- Check-ins and streaks — what a pause keeps, and what it does not.
- Account and data — deleting your whole account.
